The Wattle Harbours House Guide

Arrival, the tables and closing up — how a night at the house actually runs.

On Arrival

Getting Settled at the Tables

Show ID at the door if you look anywhere near eighteen — it's the one rule with no exceptions.

Coats and bags go on the hooks by the counter, not on the spare chairs at a table.

New to a game? Say so — the house dealer will run through it before the hand starts.

Phones stay on silent at the tables; step to the lounge if a call can't wait.

At the Table

How Play Works Here

Chips are handed out fresh each visit and counted back in at the end — they're worth nothing outside that count.

The house dealer's call on a hand is final; disputes go to the duty manager, not back to the table.

Tables seat up to six; if a game's full, the dealer will find you the next open seat.

No cash changes hands at the tables — everything runs on chips and points only.

Closing Up

Toward the End of the Night

Last hands are called around half past midnight most nights, earlier if the room's quiet.

Chips are returned to the counter before you leave — there's nothing to cash out.

The dining room stops taking orders well before the card room closes, so book supper early if you want it.

A quiet lounge stays open a little later for anyone winding down before heading home.
